" I really like David’s work and I developed two properties he designed in Stow-on-the-Wold. David and I have aligned views and a vision to create progressive architecture.
Our journey with the Stow project began with a search for a main contractor to give us a fixed price for the job. We felt we could not get any value in the market and looked instead to employ a project manager who would get the trades in. Unfortunately, covid happened, material prices increased and our project manager let me down. This left me in a difficult situation as I live abroad but David stepped in and tried hard to turn this around. We completed the first house and although it cost more, took longer and came with lots of headaches we never compromised on the design and in the end due to that the first property sold well.
With the second house not nearly completed, we again sought another project manager. Again, we were promised a lot but in the end the project manager only talked a good game. This was painful as due to the delays with completing the last house the market dropped, however in the end, we got the houses finished and they looked great.
What I have learned is that it’s hard to trust people in this industry. I do however trust David and his design ability, he also went above and beyond for me to protect my interests. So much so, that when the builders tried to go slow and wouldn’t get stuck in on the external works at the end of the job, David stepped in himself and did it with a few of his friends!
In summary, David’s work in design and Architecture is broad and our projects together vary, but at their core is David’s ability to add value by design. I feel together we have moved above and beyond primitive cowboy builders. Our time and energy is now better spent focusing on design led strategic land projects"
